Instructions
How to make it
- Put the chia seeds into a small bowl. Add 4 tablespoons of water to the seeds and leave to one side (watch the magic happen!)
- Meanwhile, break your Weetabixes in two and throw them into the blender.
- Measure out the coconut oil into a bowl and microwave it until it's melted: about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- Chop the dares in two and add the,, the cacao powder, dessicated coconut and the melted coconut oil to the blender.
- Add the chia seed mixture (it should be a gooey gel now).
- Blitz everything together for about 30 seconds, then scrape down the sides and blend again. Keep doing this until everything is well mixed.
- Take small amounts in your hands. Squeeze together tightly and then roll between your two hands to form a ball. If you wet your hands first, it can stop the mixture sticking to your fingers.
- If they are not sticking together, add another date or two and blend again as this will help everything stick together.
- Sprinkle about a tablespoon of cacao powder onto a plate and on top of that a teaspoon of cinnamon.
- Roll the balls in the mixture and pop in the fridge for 20 minutes before gobbling them up. These are great for your lunchbox!
