2 Ingredient Chocolate Orange Bites

Kids birthday parties don’t have to be full of ultra-processed, shop bought foods. And before you say it – if that’s what you want to do/ you can manage/ your kids want/suits you then that is 100% fine – I appreciate this will not be for everybody.

But, if you are like me and want slightly healthier options for your kids birthday parties, then this is a simple, 2 ingredient, kids birthday party recipe that you’ll want to save.

And it’s something the kids can be making while you get on with the other important birthday party prep – like cleaning the toilet (not saying I only ever clean the house when I’ve people coming over … but yes, that is often the case).

Ingredients

  • oranges - A many oranges as you think you’ll need.
  • chocolate - As much chocolate as you have oranges
  • sprinkles - optional

Instructions

  1. As many oranges as you think you’ll need. I recommend an orange rather than a mandarin as the segments are too tricky to work with.
  2. As much chocolate as you have oranges! I used about 50g here
  3. sprinkles are optional but it is party … so you know!
  4. Segment the oranges
  5. Melt the chocolate
  6. Dip the segments into the chocolate
  7. Pop onto some baking paper.
  8. Add sprinkles if desired – pop in the fridge for 30
  9. minutes to allow the chocolate set
  10. Try not to eat them all yours!!
