Read on for information about our delivery/returns terms and conditions.
Delivery
All our lovely orders are sent through An Post standard mail from the Cool Food School HQ in the garden of Ireland, Co. Wicklow.
We use standard post for all our orders to minimise the cost to you, our customers.
Shipping Rates
these are calculated according to the weight and size of the items you purchase
we ship around the world
we offer free shipping on orders in excess of 50euro. Any orders will be sent regular post and not registered.
Track and Trace/Express Delivery
Standard mail does not include a track and trace option (current rate for this service with An post is from €8.20).
We also do not offer express delivery as standard, again as the cost of this starts at €10.
However, if you’ve forgotten someone’s birthday or need something in a hurry, please do contact us on info@thecoolfoodschool.ie and we can try to sort something out!
Lead Times
We endeavour to post all orders within 48 hours during the working week (it’s our favourite part of the week – packing up your lovely orders!).
If you make an order at the weekend, it will be posted the next working day.
Orders to the island of Ireland take about 1-2 working days; to the UK 5 - 10 working days (although new customs laws under Brexit are causing delays at present), and to the rest of the world 7 - 9 working days approx.
At busy times of the year (e.g. Christmas), postage can take longer. If you need something for a certain date, you may need to upgrade your shipping to express – just drop us a line on info@thecoolfoodschool.ie and we’ll sort it out. Wouldn’t do to miss a birthday or Christmas!
Packaging
In line with our ethos of promoting sustainability, we use minimal packaging on all your lovely orders.
Our envelopes are recyclable and any additional packaging we use for some of the more delicate items has been reused from shipments we have received, where possible.
We are looking for new and better packaging all the time – please contact us if you know of any great sustainable packing solutions.
Returns
We really hope you (or your children!) love what you’ve purchased.
If, for some reason, you wish to return the goods, please return them unopened within 21 days from the date your order was fulfilled for a full refund, exchange, or credit (excluding p&p costs, unless the item is faulty).
We’re very sorry, but we cannot process a refund if the item is returned after the 21-day grace period.
Once the item has been received and processed by us, we will then issue a refund using the original payment method only.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
We are unable to issue refunds for issues outside our control e.g. postage delays etc.
Customs Declaration
If you are receiving a delivery outside the EU, you may be liable for import customs to that country. This may also delay the delivery of your order.
