8 easy pancake recipes for Pancake Tuesday

Are you looking for easy pancake recipes for Pancake Tuesday? It’s just around the corner and I have put together a list of 8 different, easy, healthier recipes for making your pancakes this year.

Kids love pancakes. And it’s a great dish to get them involved in making. You can of course buy a premad mix but where’s the fun in that?!

Here’s some of the jobs kids can do in the kitchen on Pancake Tuesday:

  • crack the eggs

  • measure the flour or other ingredients

  • pour the milk

  • mix the batter

  • pour the batter onto the pan

  • have a go at flipping a pancake (depending on their age!)

  • prep all the toppings

And here are some of our favourite healthy(ish) toppings for pancakes:

  • fruit - strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, banana

  • maple syrup - a little goes a long way!

  • chia seed jam - check out the recipe here

  • (n)ice cream - kids will love making this - see the recipe here

  • chocolate peanut butter sauce

  • the classic lemon juice and sugar

  • toasted seeds and nuts

  • chocolate chips

  • peanut butter - we love Nutshed peanut butters and Harry’s Nut Butters

  • creme fraiche or Greek yoghurt
