Child Obesity At Crisis Point
According to Safefood.eu, 25% of children in Ireland are overweight or obese, and this is a figure that is growing year on year. The Irish Times released an article in 2015 stating : "The average 14 year-old boy is 65% heavier now than he was in 1948. Though they are also as average 17cms (5.5 inches) taller, they are still much fatter than they were seven decades ago".
At The Cool Food School, we feel that education is key in fighting back against obesity. Through our work with children, we want to educate them, entertain them and challenge them to think about food in a different way.
We currently offer workshops in the Greater Dublin and North Wicklow areas. To enquire about booking a workshop please get in touch.
